Business Days Calculator

Count the working days between two dates. Choose your weekend, and add any holidays you observe manually.

What are business days, and how do you calculate them?

Business days are the weekdays a workplace operates — usually Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and observed holidays. To calculate business days between two dates, count every calendar day in the range and subtract any Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The calculator below does this for any date range, with custom weekends and holidays.

Weekend days

Comma-separated YYYY-MM-DD dates, e.g. 2025-12-25, 2026-01-01

Calcadian doesn't auto-detect public holidays — list any you want to exclude above.

Frequently asked questions

What is 28 business days from today?
28 business days from today is the weekday you land on after skipping 28 Mon–Fri days from today, ignoring Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays aren't included automatically. The exact date is shown in the “Common business days from today” section below, updated live.
Do business days include weekends?
No. By default business days are Monday through Friday only — Saturdays and Sundays are excluded. You can change the weekend selector above if your workweek is different (for example Sunday–Thursday in Saudi Arabia).
Are public holidays included?
Not automatically. Calcadian doesn't bundle a country-specific holiday list because holidays vary by country, region, and employer. Add the specific dates you observe in the custom excluded dates field above and they'll be subtracted from the total.
What counts as a business day?
Any weekday that isn't a weekend or one of the holidays you list. By default weekends are Saturday and Sunday.
Does Calcadian include public holidays automatically?
No. Holidays vary by country, region, and employer. Enter the specific dates you observe in the custom excluded dates field.
Can I change which days are the weekend?
Yes. The weekend selector lets you pick any combination of days. Common alternatives include Friday and Saturday.
How do the include start/end toggles work?
They control whether the first and last dates of your range are counted at all. Turn either off to exclude that endpoint from the totals.
What if I enter a holiday that falls on a weekend?
It's counted as a weekend day and is not double-deducted from the business-day total.
