Overview

Calcadian has two sides. The public calculators run in your browser and need no account. The account features, such as the API, Business Calendars, saved widgets, batch processing and reports, run on Calcadian servers and do involve stored data. This page covers both.

Calculator inputs on the public site

The dates, times and values you enter into the calculators on calcadian.com are processed in your browser to produce a result. They are not sent to Calcadian servers and are not included in analytics events.

We do not intentionally collect date, time, event name, date of birth, excluded holiday dates or timestamp values through analytics.

Account data

If you create an account we store your email address, sign-in metadata, and the configuration you create: API key metadata, Business Calendars, widget settings, licensed domains, batch job records and report metadata. API keys are stored as hashes, so the key value itself cannot be read back by us or by anyone else.

You can download a copy of this data, or delete your account and its data, from your dashboard at any time.

API requests

API calls are processed on Calcadian servers. We record the operation name, timestamp, response status and a request id for metering, rate limiting, billing accuracy and debugging. We do not retain the calculation inputs or results as part of that usage record.

Batch uploads

A file you upload for batch processing is stored privately while the job runs and is deleted when processing finishes. The result file is kept for the retention period shown on your plan so you can download it, then removed automatically. You can delete a result earlier. These files are only accessible to your account, through short-lived signed links.

Widget analytics

Saved widgets record loads, calculations and errors. Each event stores the widget, the event type, the registrable host of the page and a timestamp. We do not store the values a visitor entered, the results shown, IP addresses or any visitor identifier.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles card details directly and Calcadian never receives or stores them. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your plan, billing interval and subscription status so we can give you the right access. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the payment itself.

Email

We send transactional email only: sign-in links, account and billing notices, and replies to messages you send us. We do not sell or rent your email address.

Analytics

Calcadian uses Google Analytics 4 for aggregate site usage such as page views, referrers, device categories and country-level location.

Calcadian uses Microsoft Clarity to understand behaviour such as interactions, scrolling and click patterns. Clarity may record anonymized session interactions to help improve the site.

Custom analytics events send generic interaction data only, such as which calculator is in use or that a result was copied. No values you typed are included.

Cookies and similar technologies

Analytics providers may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies to recognize sessions. You can control these through the cookie notice shown on first visit and through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy. Calcadian uses Google Consent Mode, and analytics and advertising storage are denied by default until you accept analytics cookies.

Signing in also sets a session cookie or local storage entry. That one is required for the account to work and is not covered by the analytics choice.

Data processors

We rely on service providers to run Calcadian: hosting and database infrastructure, Stripe for payments, an email delivery provider, and the analytics providers named above. They process data on our instructions and only as needed to provide their service.

Advertising and affiliate links

Calcadian does not currently display advertising or use affiliate links. If either is added it will be clearly labelled and kept separate from tool controls.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct or delete your account data from your dashboard, or ask us to do it through the contact page. Where the law gives you further rights over your personal data, we will honour them.
